Emil Bemstrom, Last Of Blue Jackets Kept Restricted Free Agents, Agrees To Deal! 8/3/22

We finally have our final Restricted Free Agents signed back 5th Line!  This was Emil Bemstrom, as many of you know.  The post below is the deal as posted by @JacketsInsider Jeff Svoboda today, July 3, 2022, on Twitter.

Post:  NEWS: The Blue Jackets have signed restricted free agent right wing Emil Bemstrom to a two-year, $1.8 million contract through the 2023-24 season #CBJ

Since we signed Patrik Laine and saw Oliver Bjorkstrand leave for the Seattle Kraken, on the same day, I feel seeing anyone signed back to stay is a great joy.  Last season Bemstrom has a fair season with 6 goals and 5 assists, for a total of 11 points in 41 games.  He also had a great showing in the IIFH Worlds, where he represented his home country of Sweden.  his deal of 1.8 Million is fair for the talent he has, which I feel in my gut he will expand upon this upcoming season.  It also firts nicely into our Cap Space, with the amount split between 2 years/seasons.

Welcome back, #52, we'll see you back in a CBJ Jersey soon!
