Metro Division Takes NHL All-Star Game Semifinal Against Pacific! Advances To Final!

A $1,000,000.00 split prize and bragging rights is on the line in Las Vegas, as the All-Star Games begin!  The first Semifinal was the Metropolitan Division taking on the Pacific Division.  Although there would be a lot of incredible, back and forth hockey, Tom Wilson would kick off the scoring.  Love him or not, the goal at just 0:13 seconds in was pretty sweet.  Especially when you count the credited assist which went to Columbus Blue Jacket, Zach Werenski.   Again, many lead changes would occur throughout the 20-minute game.  However, the end score is the only one which really matters.  The Metro would beat the Pacific, 6-4.  There was an epic push at the end, for the Pacific.  However, it just wouldn't be enough.  It was actually almost a 6-5 final, but a goal was wiped off the board, from Marchessault , due to the clock being at 0:00.    With that being said, the Metro Division will skate on to the NHL All-Star Final....

All 5th Line fans know Zach Werenski's got game, so it should come as no surprise that he won a skill's challenge tonight, in Las Vegas!  He's the only Columbus Blue Jacket in the 2022 NHL All-Star Game, and tonight he made the full fan base proud.  As Tweeted out by the organizations official Twitter just minutes ago, Zach Werenski took top honors in the "Discover Fountain Face-Off Challenge".  This was one of those most notable events of the All-Star Game, not just for the challenge itself, but for where it took place, the Bellagio Fountain.   It's such a big honor to go to the All-Star Game for any NHL player.  To win a skills challenge is even more so though.  What did Werenski say about the win?  He told Jeff Svoboda, "Every time I come to Vegas now, I'll walk by the fountains or drive by them and I'll have that memory. ... I felt like I did pretty good. I obviously won it, so I didn't do too bad." Oh, humble Zach Werenski, you mak...

Eric Robinson Injury Update 2/2/22- Sadly It's Bad News- CBJ

The Blue Jackets have just released an update regarding Eric Robinson's injury situation, and it's not good news.  If you remember the questionable hip check by a Florida Panther's player, Monday night, you already know the situation at hand.  He left the ice, clearly in pain, and then went straight to the locker room.  It was announced, before Period 2 even began, that he would remain out for the game.  Now we know his time out will be far longer than just a game, but many of us assumed such outcome.  We won't see Robinson, take the ice again, for at least 6 weeks to come.  His leg injury is now known to be an MCL Sprain, and that will take a solid amount of time to recover from.  Further, when he does come back, don't expect him to go right into a game.  I'm positive he'll need to build back up that knee a bit before he's able to play, again.   Robinson now joins two other injured Blue Jackets.  Most recently Jake Bean suffered a ...

Blue Jackets Lose, But Find Some Redemption Against Panthers- Robinson Injured- All-Star Game 2022 Preview

For all the action tonight I had to start this at the top of the third period.  No, I'm not kidding, so let's go!   Period 1 Yes, I also had to break this up by period, more so than normal.  At0:32 the Panthers would strike first from Marchment.  The, Reinhart would score too, at 3:23.  Also, remember Reinhart will come up a lot for the Panthers, remember that name.  2-0 Panthers, but all is not lost 5th Line, I promise.  At 4:20 we get a goal from Bayreuther.  His daughter was there tonight, as shared by Blue Jackets Twitter page, so it's nice when daddy scores!  2-1 Panthers.  11:38 the Panthers would have another goal, from Barkov.  Another goal from Reinhart, at 17:54.  This would make it 4-1 Panthers, but have no fear Laine is here!  19:52, just at the end of the period, the score is 4-2.   Injury Note:  Eric Robinson left after an odd hit, which was not called, I know.  Not long after landing...

Details For Tonight's Panthers @ Blue Jackets Game AND Jake Bean Update- 1/31/22

Carlsson is set to take Bean's place in the defenseman lineup.  Given the news we now know, regarding his injury, this could be the case for awhile if Carlsson does well.  Regarding Bean, we finally have news about his injury situation.  It isn't great, but could certainly be worse.  According to Jeff Svoboda, we can expect to see him out for the next month.  This time out will be to heal a groin strain.  I wish him the best, because that sounds truly painful.   The only other lineup change is that Brad Larson will rest Korpisalo tonight, meaning Merzlikins will protect the Blue Jackets goal.  I think this is a good move, maybe he can shake off the last meeting between the Panthers, and gain some redemption, tonight.  It will be different, as the Panthers must now perform on the road against us, rather than at home.  We'll see if they can at 7:00 PM EST Sources: Tweet From Jeff Svoboda:  " #CBJ Jake Bean update: The defenseman...
