Eric Robinson Injury Update 2/2/22- Sadly It's Bad News- CBJ

The Blue Jackets have just released an update regarding Eric Robinson's injury situation, and it's not good news.  If you remember the questionable hip check by a Florida Panther's player, Monday night, you already know the situation at hand.  He left the ice, clearly in pain, and then went straight to the locker room.  It was announced, before Period 2 even began, that he would remain out for the game.  Now we know his time out will be far longer than just a game, but many of us assumed such outcome.  We won't see Robinson, take the ice again, for at least 6 weeks to come.  His leg injury is now known to be an MCL Sprain, and that will take a solid amount of time to recover from.  Further, when he does come back, don't expect him to go right into a game.  I'm positive he'll need to build back up that knee a bit before he's able to play, again.

Robinson now joins two other injured Blue Jackets.  Most recently Jake Bean suffered a groin strain, which will take the defenseman out for a month.  While Alexander Texier has a broken finger, which will take about that long to heal as well.  Hopefully, the All-Star break will break this string CBJ bad luck, regarding our loss of players.  Fingers crossed, as I wish Eric Robinson a speedy recovery.

The forward has recorded 6-12-17 in 42 games this season."

(Jeff Svoboda comment on Retweet "#CBJ have now lost Robinson, Texier and Bean for extended periods of time over the past week")
