Blue Jackets Are 6-3-0 After Overtime Win In Colorado!

It’s off to the high altitude of Colorado, as the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Avalanche.  Period 1 would result in no goals, however, it would highlight the amazing ability for the Blue Jacket to kill a very strop Power Play.  In Period 2 we’d see the Bally Sports Ohio App crash, and the Avalanche go up 2-0.  This was by way of a goal from O’Connor, which was then followed by a goal from Byram.   Near the end of the Period Jake Bean would score for the home team, putting the Blue Jackets within 1 goal heading into the third.

Period 3 would be a bright one for one specific Blue Jacket, Cole Sillinger.  He would score two goals, putting the Blue Jackets up 3-2, as the team would capture its first lead of the evening.  A few minutes later Boone Jenner (BOOOOOONE) would score also, 4-2!  Another goal would come from the Avalanche, from Compher.  Then, disaster strikes for the CBJ as Byram would score again in this game.  This would lead to a 4-4 tie between the Avalanche and Blue Jackets.  With just 52 seconds left you’d expect an Overtime, and you’d be right.

To this point, a few extra notes.  Oliver Bjorkstrand had 2 assists, he’s doing amazing this season and it’s worth mentioning.  Patrik Laine would also have 2 assist at this point.  However, something concerning would happen to him.  With about 6 minutes left in the third he’d have a tangled and perplexing tangled up fall with an Avalanche player.  He got up and by his own power made it to the bench, with that being said, he left it shortly after.  I’ll keep you posted on his condition,

Seconds into Overtime, Jake Bean would finish what he stated.  The Overtime goal, by him, would result in a 5-4 win over the Colorado Avalanche!  What a night, 2 points in another away game!  That’s a 2 game streak which the team will try and keep alive as we flip arena’s Saturday, when the Avalanche make their way to Columbus and Nationwide Arena!

Well done to Korpisalo in goal, he did enough to ensure a win, and that’s all which matters in the end.

Go CBJ!

Saturday is at 7:00 PM and your Columbus Blue Jackets are now 6-3-0 on the 2021-22 NHL Season!
