Blue Jackets are 7-3-0. Beating Avalanche Again!

In Nationwide Arena, Period 1 would start with a Columbus Blue Jackets goal from Carlsson.  The second assist on this goal would become Chinakhov's very first NHL point, congratulations to him! After this Burakovsky would score a goal for the Colorado Avalanche.  The score would be 1-1 after 1 period.

During the second period Burakovsky would score again, making it 2-1 Avalanche.  This would be the Avalanche's last score and lead, tonight!

In the third period, Texier would get his goal he promised fans in the second intermission.  2-2 Blue Jackets.  This would be a very cool goal, as goaltender Elvis Merzlikins would get an assist on that Texier goal.  Next we'd have a goal first awarded to Chinakhov, which would've been awesome, since this would've been his first NHL goal.  However, in replay it made contact with Sillinger's stick before entering the Avalanche net.  This would be credited to Sillinger as his 4th goal of the season, but that's okay, it was still a big night for Chinakhov, as he'd gain 2 assists tonight.  These would be his first points as a Blue Jacket and NHL player.  All around a special night for our young players.

The icing on the cake would be a Bjorkstrand goal, by way of an empty net.  Blue Jackets win, 4-2!  What a night, and a game.  Remember, the Blue Jackets will be off for a number of days.  The next game isn't until November 12th, in Nationwide Arena, when the Washington Capitals come to town.  Puck drop is set for the classic time of 7:00 PM.  We'll see if the 3-game win streak can turn to 4!
