Columbus Blue Jackets To Honor Educators And Teachers November 13th, 2021

Even before the pandemic we could all agree, teaching is a noble profession.  It consists of hard work and dedication, as they mold the lives of those students they see every day.  I still remember several of my favorite teachers and could tell you story after story, explaining why they are such.  On Saturday November 13th, 2021, the Columbus Blue Jackets will host a night and game devoted to honoring educators and teachers across Ohio.

Normally this night is beautiful in it's own regard.  However, given what all teachers have done for their students during the pandemic, it will be the best educators night ever, I think.  You can learn more about the evening from Gus Nyquist in this video (https://www.facebook.com/bluejacketsnhl/videos/1040941996697164) which was posted to the Columbus Blue Jackets Official Facebook Page recently.  We can't wait to honor you all for everything you do!

  1. also please remember that there are many teachers in our rural areas who had to continue teaching without the benefits of on-line classrooms. I have a friend who teaches in Morgan County. On-line classes were not an option. Most areas where her students lived had no internet or cell phone access. It all had to be done by handouts with limited contact with the students, making the job even more difficult. Our teachers in all areas had to endure quite a bit during this past year, lets hope things can get back to normal quickly.
