Some Key Blue Jackets Return To Practice Today (November 8th, 2021)

Via @JacketsInsider on Twitter (Jeff Svoboda).

Today we saw two familiar faces take the ice for Practice.  Emil Bemstrom suffered a strained oblique, the same injury which has also forced Patrik Laine out, late last week.  The second player we've seen return to the ice a bit for practice, however, he's yet to return for a game; this is Adam Boqvist.  Both of these men, if able to return, would come back at a very pivotal time.

The team is currently 7-3-0 on the 2021-22 NHL season.  They are currently 5-1-0 at home in Nationwide Arena, and the Washington Capitals will come to visit for that 7th game at home.  It's been well over a year since the two teams have played, and the rivalry runs deep with them both.  With Patrik Laine out, anyone we can pick up before Friday, is an asset beyond the normal.  Yes, the Capitals are 5-2-4, but don't let that fool you, they are a strong team who is ready to improve that record.
