To Those Concerned I say Blue Jackets Are Just Fine! Now 8-5-0!

I know there has been some worry, especially after two losses in a row, at home.  Tonight should've eased your worries though.  With that being said, tonight did start out rough, I'll admit that.  The Redwings would go up two goals to none in Period 1.  These goals came from Larkin and then Rasmussen.  The Rasmussen one went past everyone, including Merzlikins.  It was a wakeup call for the Blue Jackets who came out in Period 2, ready.

In Period 2 Merzlikins held strong and the Blue Jackets got back into the game.  The Captain, Jenner, would start the comeback.  2-1 Red Wings, but not for long.  Boqvist would score just a little over a minute later.

Into the Third we go, tied at 2 goals each.  Raymond would score a goal for the Red Wings, making it 3-2, and I think every Blue Jackets fan felt a bit nervous.  No worries though as Chinakhov would score his first goal, finally, in the NHL as a Blue Jacket.  This would bring us to a tie at 3 goals each.  It would also start a streak of goals!  An interesting stick switch-off would occur and lead to a Werenski goal, making it 4-3 Blue Jackets, giving them their first lead of the night.  Texier would then get a hard fought goal, an open net, after getting beat up by a few sticks along the 60 minutes.

The final score would be 5-3, Blue Jackets!  Yes, it was a rocky start, but it was a sweet finish.  The next game is Thursday, November 18th.  It will be in Arizona at the Coyotes, meaning it will be a late game.  Puck drop is at 9:00 PM.  We'll see you then 5th Line!

Go CBJ!
