Blue Jackets Goaltender Update (12/4/21)
Via @JacketsInsider, we now know who will maintain the Blue Jackets goal tonight, as the team goes from a narrow 3-2 loss in Dallas to the Stars. Joonas Korpisalo was placed on the Injury Reserve List, for the team yesterday, due to illness. Elvis Merzlikins illness has improved enough to start tomorrow night, at Nationwide, against the Sharks. This means that goaltending newcomer, Danill Tarasov, will get his second game start in as many, tonight in the nation's capital.
It's been a big weekend for Tarasov, who made his NHL debut in Dallas on Friday. He made some incredible saves and kept the Blue Jackets in the game. It will be exciting to see him start again tonight, so soon. Fingers crossed he can mark his first NHL win, as doing so there would be an epic accomplishment. Good luck to him!
