Columbus Blue Jackets NHL Team Shut Down

The Columbus Blue Jackets team and operations have been fully shut down.  No release yet as to why, but likely due to having had more players test positive this morning.  The two Sabres game, one tonight in Buffalo, and the other game originally scheduled for Thursday, at Nationwide Arena, have been put on hold for now.  We know this shutdown is scheduled to last through the holiday break.  However, it could go longer if more cases pop up.  The Blue Jackets do not hold their own destiny here, the NHL and NHLPA will tell the team when they can reopen and play games again.

A decision on when the team’s training facilities will re-open will be made by the League and the NHLPA in the coming days.
