Team Adjustments Before Tonight And Who's In Net- Ducks @Blue Jackets (12/9/21)

After a comeback against the Maple Leafs, where the Blue Jackets were down 5-2 entering the third period, Brad Larson has reportedly decided to make no changes, at all.  The Blue Jackets just narrowly lost to the Maple Leafs, 5-4, on Monday night.  It was an impressive comeback, and hopefully with the team back home, all four lines can produce that well and win, tonight.  

Regarding goaltending, Brad Larson has also decided to put Merzlikins back in net.   Knock on wood, Merzlikins does well at home with the 5th Line behind him, no doubt!  So, Tarasov will likely back up Merzlikins, again, tonight.  We'll see how this combo does in Nationwide Arena.  With any luck it will boost this team up enough to win, on the road, as they head out again after just one home game.

Zach Werenski Adds Another Achievement to His 2024-25 NHL Season

Normally, I have to share articles by the NHL because I'm usually working when this kind of news is announced, but today, I'm not! Zach Werenski is proving to doubters that this NHL Season will go down as one of the best in his career. Today, we learned of another achievement he's added to the long list of record-breaking moments, point streaks, and team-leading assists and total points. Zach Werenski, across the league, has added the Third Star of January to this list now, too. Aside from his spectacular goal last night to clench the win for his team in overtime at the Utah Hockey Club, the man has poured on the points in the first month of 2025. His total for just 31 days was six goals and eleven assists for a grand total of seventeen points. He accomplished this over the span of just fourteen games. And so it comes to an end: The season that started as a nightmare ends in a way we could've only dreamed. Yes, I know we're not chasing a Stanley Cup in 2025, but for how this season began...this season shouldn't have ended like this.
