A Rundown Of What We Know For Game Tonight- Blue Jackets @ Devils 1/6/22
So, we have a few switch up for tonight, and also a few things which will remain the same. Let's start with the changeups.
Changes:
Jake Bean sat out the last CBJ game, against the Lighting, due to a Non-Covid illness. Tonight, he will return! We'll also see another player take the ice for his very first NHL game tonight; that of Jake Christiansen. I wish him the best of luck tonight in his Defensive debut. With these two players going in, of course, two players must sit out. According to Jeff Svoboda, those tow will be Carlsson and Harrington.
What We Know:
We also know the Goaltending situation for tonight. Korpisalo will be between the goalposts, again. Now, before we all start judging him, keep in mind that Head Coach Brad Larson had no choice but to put him in last game. That game just happened to be against the defending, back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Further, he had one practice, that day, after returning from Covid. Trust me when I say, this was a tall and impossible order. Tonight will be better, I'm sure.
What We Don't Know:
What we don't know is kind of a big piece of this current team, especially with several players still out. Currently, if Cole Sillinger will participate in tonight's game, is up in the air. Yesterday he had a "Maintenance Day", according to Jeff Svoboda and Head Coach Brad Larson. Jeff Svoboda has made it clear that his playing tonight will be a "game time decision". Personally, I just wish Sillinger the best, and hope he can play. If not, he is a young and talented player who should take this time to heal for just that reason. He has his whole hockey career ahead of him, he's only 18-years-old, and should listen to whatever his body tells him to do.
For now, this is what I've seen come out of the Twitter world. If any other developments come up I'll be sure to pass them on to you all. Thanks for reading!
Go CBJ!

"#CBJ rookie defenseman Jake Christiansen will make his NHL debut tonight. Jake Bean also healthy and goes in. Carlsson and Harrington out.
Joonas Korpisalo starts vs. the Devils as well. Shouldn't be any changes up front, but Cole Sillinger is a game-time decision."
