Blue Jackets @ Canadians- Game Recap- 1/30/22

In Period 1 the Canadians, by luck of a skate, netted the first goal.  This would be credited to Suzuki at 1:19.  After this it was all Blue Jackets, for the remainder of this period.  3:51 would be the time for a Laine goal.  This was followed by a Roslovic goal at 8:39.  Add on a goal from Robinson, at 10:11.  Followed by a 13:14 goal by Chinakhov.  If you do that math that adds up to a 4-1 Blue Jackets lead after just 1 period!

In the second period, only one goal would be scored.  It would come at the very end of the period, 19:19. from the Canadians.  The score would be credited to Lehkonen.  Still, a 4-2 Blue Jackets lead.

In Period 3, Lehkonen would score again at 6:55.  4-3 Blue Jackets lead.  Have no fear, Sillinger is here!  He would score, making the score 5-3.  The time of this goal was 9:58, almost exactly half way through the third period.  He then showed some great teamwork at the end of thee game.  He had an empty net before him, but instead of taking a shot, netting his 8th of the season, he passed it to Laine instead.  Laine would then score, at 17:12, gaining his 6th goal of the 2021-22 NHL Season.  A class act that young Cole Sillinger.  This leaves the score at 6-3, which would eventually be the final.

Sadly, it wasn't all goals and assists tonight.  Jake Bean was injured seriously, in his lower body, currently this is all we know.  Once I see more I'll be sure to post about it.  I personally wish him the best.

Again, Korpisalo in net was on point.  He made some great saves.  This helps the team win back-to-back wins.  This hasn't happened in weeks, which makes such extra special.  Tomorrow, the Panthers will bring Bobrovsky back to Nationwide Arena.  The showdown starts at 7:00 PM EST.  After this will come the All-Star break, so get ready for some good hockey tomorrow, as a Blue Jackets fan.  Then, we all transition to Metropolitan Division fans, as a whole, while cheering on Werenski in Las Vegas, this weekend!

Go CBJ!
