Korpisalo Starts Comeback As He Returns From Blue Jackets Covid Protocol List
Alright, so we have some news on the Goaltender front for Blue Jackets. Joonas Korpisalo has officially returned from the Covid-19 Protocol List. This is great news as we know Tarasov has been on the Injury Reserve List for a few days now. He was injured in the painful loss to the Hurricanes on New Years Day. At this point we only know he has no scheduled return date, and that it's a "lower body injury". (Via Jeff Svoboda). Merzlikins is also questionable as he's had some issues since that game as well. Again, this is not a proven fact yet, however, I see no other way than Korpisalo leading the team out and holding goal tonight. I hope he's ready to be pushed into the deep end, as tonight he will likely face the Lightning. As far as a backup goes, maybe Merzlikins, but I feel he will be used as a last resort.
