Lineup Shifts Before Blue Jackets @ Panthers on 1/15/22

There are not many changes to tonight's line up, as the Blue Jackets come off a 6-0 Shutout victory at the Hurricanes, Thursday.  Naturally, the man who produced that Shutout, Merzlikins, will again guard the net tonight.

Also, it was said earlier, by Jeff Svoboda, that nothing at all would change.  This statement sadly has.  Sillinger has been sidelined and placed on the Blue Jackets Covid Protocol List.  We hope to see him back soon.  If you are a fan of Liam Foudy however, you will get to see him play tonight.  I also wish him luck in his first Blue Jackets game of the season.  Last year he appeared in 24 games, he had no goals but 4 assists.

The Blue Jackets are currently 17-17-1 this 2021-22 NHL Season.  We're currently 5th in the Metropolitan Division, which is great considering we're lacking 7 games compared to several teams.  These games are set to be rescheduled during what would've been the 2022 Winter Olympics break. Even though the NHL is not participating this year, there will still be plenty of hockey to watch, as we still add postponed games to that list.  Today, according to Jeff Svoboda, three more have been.  So, gear up with that fun dip folks, it's going to be a fun non-stop push to the Stanley Cup Playoffs and beyond, starting now!

Puck drop in Florida is at 6:00 PM.  So, be sure you have the Blue Jackets on your phone, and the Bengals/Raiders on your TV!

Go CBJ!

Sources:

#CBJ head coach Brad Larsen says the team will use the same lineup as Thursday night -- no surprise there -- so Elvis Merzlikins goes against the Panthers tonight.

So there will be a change for #CBJ tonight. Liam Foudy in, Cole Sillinger out because of COVID protocol

There are three NHL games postponed today, which is a shame because this was set to be the only day of the entire season in which all 32 teams were in action.
