You're Almost Out of Time For the NHL ALL-STAR GAME 2022 Fan Vote!

Okay, 5th Line, I know we're all still a bit sad that the Olympics won't happen this year for our guys.  Believe me, I am too.  However, as of right now, that All-Star Game in Las Vegas, is happening.  We have some incredible Columbus Blue Jackets in the running for a spot this year.  However, for them to make it, you've got to vote!  

You get until the 8th of January, that's only 6 more days, to do so.  In our division, Metropolitan, you can pick from 4 players:  Oliver Bjorkstrand, Elvis Merzlikins, Jakub Voracek,  and Zach Werenski.  So I ask you, who wouldn't want to see them all make it?   Also, you may wonder what's in it for you if you submit the limit of 10 ballots a day?  How about a trip to see the NHL All-Star Game 2022, in Las Vegas?  So go, go vote now here<  https://www.nhl.com/all-star-ballot?partnerId=vanityVoteRedirect.  

If you want to have some serious fun, check out the former CBJ players in different division who are also up to play in the NHL All-Star Game 2022.  These players include:  Sergei Bobrovsky, the Goaltender for thee Florida Panthers and longtime Goaltender for the Columbus Blue Jackets.  He is part of the NHL's Atlantic Division, now.  Cam Atkinson, the incredible Forward who was traded over the 2021 summer.  He is now a Philadelphia Flyer and part of our Metropolitan Division, too.  In the Central Division you'll find the Defenseman Seth Jones, who Columbus traded the night of the 2021 NHL Draft to the Blackhawks.         

We can't wait to find out who will add this incredible honor to their list of achievements, be them a current or former Blue Jacket.

Zach Werenski Adds Another Achievement to His 2024-25 NHL Season

Normally, I have to share articles by the NHL because I'm usually working when this kind of news is announced, but today, I'm not! Zach Werenski is proving to doubters that this NHL Season will go down as one of the best in his career. Today, we learned of another achievement he's added to the long list of record-breaking moments, point streaks, and team-leading assists and total points. Zach Werenski, across the league, has added the Third Star of January to this list now, too. Aside from his spectacular goal last night to clench the win for his team in overtime at the Utah Hockey Club, the man has poured on the points in the first month of 2025. His total for just 31 days was six goals and eleven assists for a grand total of seventeen points. He accomplished this over the span of just fourteen games. New York Islanders @ Columbus Blue Jackets: 4/17/25

And so it comes to an end: The season that started as a nightmare ends in a way we could've only dreamed. Yes, I know we're not chasing a Stanley Cup in 2025, but for how this season began...this season shouldn't have ended like this. I'm optimistic, even in light of injuries, pain, and loss, and even I wouldn't have thought that we'd battle the Montreal Canadians for the final Eastern Wild Card spot at game 82 this season. I sure as hell wouldn't have predicted some of the numbers our Blue Jackets put up this season either. I am so proud of this team and where they're going.
