Blue Jackets Sign Defenseman To Return As Monster Next Season- 3/7/22

It's a good day for 26-year-old Billy Sweezey.  Today the Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they reached a deal with him to stay on with the AHL Cleveland Monsters, with an option to play for the Columbus Blue Jackets if needed.  The deal will take the Defenseman through the 2022-23 and 2023-24 NHL Seasons.  During this 2021-22 NHL Season, Sweezey has scored 4 goals and had 6 assists, reaching a total of 10 points.  These stats are all from the 45 games he played with the AHL Cleveland Monsters.
