Lineup Changes For Maple Leafs @ Blue Jackets And Who's In Goal- 3/7/22
Okay, so I'm writing 3 posts before the game tonight! First was to announce the return of two key players. This one is for tonight's lineup against the Maple Leafs. The next will be about a new player we signed! So, lets to this.
The easiest choice to report is the common "who's in net" question. In my mind this is a simple choice for Head Coach Brad Larson. Berube has been returned to his AHL team. Korpisalo has returned from the Blue Jackets IR List, hence Berube's return to his minor league team. However, Korpisalo isn't likely game-start ready just yet. This makes the choice obvious, Merzlikins will guard the Blue Jacket goal tonight, when the Maple Leafs skate into Nationwide Arena. Also, I have to direct quote Jeff Svoboda, because this is just funny. "Elvis Merzlikins skated over a few minutes and jumped into the boards, knocking my orange juice off the ledge. Could literally hear him laughing as he skated away. #CBJ"
Tonight, we also have some switches in the lineup, regarding Defenseman. This is no surprise to me. Bean is needed and ready to go. He will join Center, Gaunce, who is also back in the lineup. With these two men in, two men have to sit. Those two men will be Bemstrom and Bayreuther. I like the combo of Bean and Gaunce, I can't wait to see how these two play together against a strong Maple Leafs team.
Go CBJ!
