2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Preview For Former Blue Jackets- Round 1 Game 1, Night 2
I know, the title is a mouthful! Anyway, if you thought we had several players in last nights 4 Round 1 teams, just you wait till tonight. Let's go, 5th Line!
7:00 PM EST Pittsburgh Penguins @ New York Rangers
This is an easy one for you 5th Line, there is only one former Blue Jacket to watch on each team, in this series. The Penguins have Center Jeff Carter. While the Rangers have Artemi Panarin at the Left Wing position.
7:30 Washington Capitals @ Florida Panthers
If you're a true 5th Line fan, you don't like the Capitals, like at all. Good news, no Blue Jackets are on this team. So, in this series, if you're following former Blue Jackets, the Panthers are your team. Anthony DuClair is another former Left Wing to watch for here. This team also has the only former Blue Jackets Goaltender in the Stanley Cup, Sergei Bobrovsky. I'm going to level with you all readers, this is the team I picked to win the whole thing this year. Nothing would make me happier than seeing #72 hoist that Stanley Cup this off season.
9:30 PM EST Nashville Predators @ Colorado Avalanche
This is likely the biggest game of the night for those wanting to watch former Blue Jackets in the playoffs. Both teams each have two guys our ours now. The Predators have the very notable Ryan Johansen and Matt Duchene. For those who can't remember back that far, or those like me who were a bit younger when they wore the Blue Jackets colors, both men are Centers. On the other side of the ice we have two players with the Avalanche. Jack Johnson and Ryan Murray. Look for both of them on the Defense. Well, at least this series kept it easy for us, right? Four former players but only two positions to remember. Also, I have this team going pretty far as well in my bracket.
10:00 PM ESTT Dallas Stars @ Calgary Flames
Being in Canada, you can always expect these to be the late games. No former Blue Jackets in this series that I see, however this promises to be a great matchup. Then again, I can say that about all 8 series going on right now. I feel this 2022 Stanley Cup will be full of surprises and incredible moments us NHL fans will remember forever. So, don't miss a moment! Again, if any of the listed players have big moments, like scores or even injuries, I'll report them to you here. Otherwise, I'll inform you of when a series ends for our guys or continues on to Round 2. Further, if cheering on only the Blue Jackets is your thing, I understand. I do have readers world wide though, many can't see these games and this is why I write for our former Blue Jackets, playing in the post season. Again, if you only like current Blue Jackets, you can read my Post Season Wrap Up for Texier which was published just before this. I'll also have another Post Season Wrap Up, for a different player, tomorrow.
Go CBJ!
