Rangers Take Second Post-Season Game 7, Beating Hurricanes, Advancing To Conference Final! 5/30/22

With a goal from Fox and Kreider in Period 1, a goal from Strome in Period 2, and another goal from Kreider, the Rangers would mount a sizable 4-0 lead against the Carolina Hurricanes. On the Strome goal during Period 2, former Blue Jacket Artemi Panarin would have the primary assist.  Then in Period 3, we'd see a bit of a turn around for the Hurricanes, as DeAngelo would score at 8:11.  It wouldn't amount to more than that though, because at 8:51 the Rangers would come back with another goal, this time from Chytil.  With that goal the Rangers would regain their 4 goal lead, the score then 5-1.  With the time winding down, former Blue Jacket Max Domi would score for the Hurricanes at 16:13.  This would take us to a 5-2 Rangers lead.  Second later, the Rangers would again regain their 4 goal lead, after an Empty Net Goal from Copp.  This goal was scored at 17:08, making the score 6-2, Rangers on top still.  This 6-2 score would be your Game 7 final.

The Hurricanes had an amazing season and post-season.  Max Domi had his first playoff goal, and 3 total once tonight was said and done.  Ian Coe was another former Blue Jacket standout for this Hurricanes team.  The Rangers simply have this fight in them, which is clear as the Hurricanes hadn't lost on home ice, this post-season, until tonight.

This is the end of the second round for the Rangers, and in both rounds they forced Game 7's and won, after being down 3-1 against the opponent they ultimately beat to move on.   With that being said, the Lightning is who they will face for the Eastern Conference Final 2022.  Their the two time defending Stanley Cup Champions and have had nearly a week to recover, after sweeping the Florida Panthers in their Round 2 matchup.  To be fair though, based off Rounds 1 and 2 in which the Rangers beat the Bruins and now the Hurricanes, I think the Lightning will have a challenge.  The Rangers won't give up, that's obvious, and they have the muscle and skill to back it up.  The only thing I'm positive of right now, we're going to have two compeditive and fun Conference finals to watch, starting tomorrow night.

Game 1 in the battle for the West Conference will be tomorrow night at 8:00 PM EST on TNT.  In that West Conference Title Game, we have the Edmonton Oilers taking on the Colorado Avalanche, in Colorado.  The following night, Wednesday, we'll have the New York Rangers hosting the Tampa Bay Lighting.  This will be likely be on ESPN, but no time has officially been given. Once it's out I'll post it to my social media pages.

Congratulations New York Rangers!
