The Battle Continues! Panarin Gains 3rd Assist, Carter Gains Goal 3. 5/9/22

Love them or hate them, these are the numbers.

Both in Period 2, Panarin would try and start a comeback with aid from Zuccariello and Fox.  The goal would go to Fox, with Panarin gain first assist and Zuccariello gaining the second.  This would cut the Penguins lead to 2 goals.  The score at this point would be 4-2, in favor of the Penguins.  Unfortunately, this would be the last goal of the night for the New York Rangers.

For the Penguins 6th goal of the night, the blink and you'd miss him Blue Jacket, Jeff Carter, would score his 3rd goal of this series.  It would come at 19:28.

With a 7-2 win, the Penguins now lead this series 3 games to 1.  This means that if the Rangers can't pull out a win on Wednesday at home in Madison Square Garden, the series will sadly end for former Blue Jacket Artemi Panarin.  I'd hate to see this happen, but only time will tell.  The Rangers fans are incredible and I have no doubt they'll show up to support and rally their team.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM EST.  The game will air on ESPN.
