In Large Part To Kent Johnson, Team Canada Advances To World Juniors Gold Game! 8/19/22

It was a big day for Columbus Blue Jackets Kent Johnson, who had goal 1 in the Semifinals for Team Canada.  In addition to this point, he'd go on to have two assists in this Semifinal also.  Three points total for Johnson tonight would help his team greatly, advancing them to the final, gold match tomorrow on August 20, 2022.

Sadly, this does mean they eliminated their opponent, Team Czechia, which had three drafted Blue Jackets on its roster.  David Jiricek and Stanislav Svozil would both have an assist in this game, but Martin Rysavy would not.  The final score of the semifinal game would be Team Canada over Team Czechia, 5-2.  The good news for Team Czechia is that they will go on to play for the bronze, so the best of luck to them!

Good luck to Kent Johnson and Team Canada!  I'll have updates tomorrow.
